Heaton House Farm Accommodation has made it to the number 1 bed and breakfast in the Macclesfield area, and a silver level greenleader on world renowned travel site TripAdvisor! What all that means is what we shall divulge in this blog, as we bring you up to date with all the latest happenings at the Heaton House Farm luxury accommodation.

In the spring of 2014 our newly refurbished accommodation barn and breakfast room, opened to the public. The beautiful old cattle barn and stable yard was carefully and sensitively restored by master craftsmen over an 18 month period. It was by no means an easy feat, with us enduring one of the coldest winters on record, slowing the conversion right down, but it was worth the wait! All the accommodation rooms across the venue have been designed with their own individual flair, complementing the contemporary style with the latest innovative and lavish technologies, but whilst being sensitive to the authentic and rustic integrity of the farm. Even selecting the right mattresses was a carefully planned process, with only the highest in comfort and allergy rating doing! Most of the rooms have far reaching views, that expand across three counties and the vast Cheshire Plains. We’ve considered every part of making your experience with us one to remember for all the right reasons. So after your stay in one of our clean and glamorous rooms, you are welcomed into the ‘The Old Stableyard’, for a hearty continental and full English breakfast. With it’s original farming tools hanging on the walls, gorgeous mismatched furniture and incredible views of Congleton Cloud and the private water gardens, it is the perfect place to ‘fill one’s boots’ and start the day with a skip in your step.

When the barn opened to staying guests, it was time for us to listen to feedback, so we joined TripAdvisor. It is the world’s largest travel site, with over 200 million unbiased reviews being left by guests. It is free for visitors to post onto the site and provides hotels, B&B’s, Inns and restaurants with impartial ratings (from one to five stars) and comments.

Since joining we have received over 30 reviews from families, couples, solo guests and corporate stays with their rating ranging from very good to excellent. We received five stars in each category of location, sleep quality, rooms, service, value for money and cleanliness!

Operating on a working farm, we are trying to become completely carbon neutral across the whole site and for our efforts so far, TripAdvisor has awarded us Silver Level status in the Green Leaders programme. Broken down this means that we are energy, water, waste and purchasing efficient, whilst we educate our staff and encourage guests to observe green practices during their stay. These practices can be as small as utilising the towel reuse programme, if staying for longer than one night. It all counts towards reducing our carbon footprint, which is our ultimate goal here at the farm!

As we have invested in new systems, staff and procedures, it has been a huge learning curve for us. TripAdvisor has given us invaluable, honest opinions of peoples stay, meaning we can continue to provide a high quality experience to our guests.

Gregster2k9 – I attended a friends wedding here in mid December. We stayed in one of the new rooms which was beautiful – plenty of space and a fabulous wet room – very warm and well appointed room with all the amenities that you need. As a wedding venue, Heaton House has it down to a tee – a stunning range of rooms means that your wedding flows perfectly from one room to another – all beautifully presented and with a great attention to detail. The breakfast room was a very traditional country barn and so pleasant to dine in. Add to that, superb catering, great staff and very good bar prices – much more reasonable than many similar venues that I’ve been to and you have a first class venue that was a delight to visit.

cutie_shopper_11 – We had a great stay at Heaton House Farm in the ‘Old Dairy’. The room was finished to a very high standard with an amazing stone feature wall. The bathroom was also really lovely and again designed and finished to a high standard. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Chelsea2410 – The bedrooms at Heaton House Farm are beautifully presented with luxurious bedding. Great value and lovely views from the windows too! The bathroom was very contemporary. I highly recommend staying here!
