THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING
At 9am, Natalie and her bridesmaids arrived, bringing with them the perfect mix of excitement, anticipation and a few happy nerves. As hair and makeup got underway, they were in safe hands from the very beginning. Fizz was poured, laughter filled the room and memories were shared as everyone soaked up the excitement of the day ahead. If there was ever a picture-perfect wedding morning, this was it.
The bridesmaids looked beautiful in pastel green dresses, each choosing varied styles while remaining perfectly coordinated. The soft pastel tones were a beautiful match for the bright May morning, complementing the sunshine, fresh greenery and all the new life of spring.
Before long, it was time for Natalie to step into her dress. Wearing a timeless sleeveless gown with elegant lace detailing, a flowing train and delicate veil, she looked absolutely radiant. – she was more than ready to walk down the aisle and marry Josh!
One of the most emotional moments of the morning soon followed as Natalie revealed her bridal look to her dad. Overcome with pride, he was almost speechless as he saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the very first time. It was a beautiful moment that perfectly captured the emotion of the morning.
Meanwhile, Josh and his groomsmen were getting ready together, dressed in smart grey suits with subtle green accents that perfectly complemented the bridesmaids. And when it came to making their way to the venue, they certainly did it in style… preparing to be whisked away in one of the most amazing arrivals we have ever seen… by helicopter!
A GRAND ENTRANCE TO REMEMBER
While the guests had arrived and were settling in, Josh and his groomsmen were about to make an entrance they certainly wouldn’t forget! Arriving by helicopter from where they had been getting ready, they touched down in style on the North Lawn, much to the delight of everyone watching. With all the guests gathered, it was quite the spectacle – the perfect grand entrance and an unforgettable way to kick off the celebrations.
And the excitement didn’t stop there! As the helicopter from Adventure001 Helicopters landed, string quartet Alerion Strings set the atmosphere with live music, filling the North Lawn with beautiful melodies while guests watched the action unfold. Meanwhile, Stealth Racer arrived and was ready to get everyone feeling competitive, bringing an immersive racing simulator to the celebrations. With everyone eager to have a go, there was just one important question… who would be the fastest?
OAK-BEAMED BEAUTY
The Oak Barn was transformed into the most beautiful spring setting, with blossom trees, silver chairs and a white aisle carpet creating a soft, romantic feel. Wooden posts and an arch surrounded the registrars’ table, filled with foliage and greenery, while candles lined the aisle, bringing everything together beautifully. It was the perfect blend of spring colour and rustic charm, perfectly complementing the Oak Barn. Every detail was brought to life by the wonderful Flossies.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. The bridesmaids made their way down the aisle before Natalie appeared, walking hand in hand with her father. As the couple met at the end of the aisle, their beautiful ceremony began, including a gorgeous handfasting ceremony – a meaningful tradition symbolising the joining and unity of two families. Once they were officially married, it was time to head outside for that all-important confetti shot!
With the formalities complete, the reception kicked off with garden games, group photographs and plenty of time for everyone to catch up with old friends and make new memories. There was entertainment for everyone, and even Josh couldn’t resist having a go on the racing car to see if he could beat the record! Although we do have to wonder… did anyone actually let him win, seeing as it was his wedding day?
Amid all the celebrations, Natalie and Josh managed to sneak away for some precious time together in the Water Gardens. Surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant spring colours and the beautiful countryside, they captured some truly gorgeous newlywed moments. The wonderful Lee Brown beautifully photographed every image, perfectly capturing the joy, colour and romance of their spring wedding day.
TIME TO DINE
The dining room looked absolutely sensational, with every detail thoughtfully brought together to continue the spring theme. Candles, bud vases, log-slice candle holders and beautiful blossom trees created a warm, romantic atmosphere, while lush green foliage from the ceremony was carried through into the room. Place cards and table names, beautifully created by Inspired by Lisa, added the perfect finishing touches.
And then there were the little details that made it unmistakably Natalie and Josh– from their adorable crochet figures to the light green touches. Once everything was ready, the newlyweds were announced into the dining room and the celebrations really got going!
There was no shortage of laughter and dancing as everyone got involved, with singing, napkins flying through the air and the whole room full of energy. Alongside all the fun came some incredibly heartfelt moments, with emotional speeches from Josh and the bride’s brothers that had everyone reaching for the tissues.
The couple then cut their beautiful wedding cake, made by one of their talented friends, before everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious meal from Stable Yard Catering – the perfect feast to fuel the celebrations still to come!
EVENING PARTY
By 7pm, the evening reception was in full swing, and what a celebration it was! Natalie and Josh took to the dancefloor for their first dance, surrounded by their family and friends, before the party truly got going. It wasn’t long before everyone was up dancing and making the most of the evening. As it was such a beautiful day, guests enjoyed the evening sunshine reminiscing on the wonderful day they have had and grabbing some more all important shots.
The Live Lounge Duo had the dancefloor packed from the very first song, while delicious evening food from Stableyard Catering kept everyone fuelled for a night of dancing. Inside the Wedding Barn, glowing blue lighting transformed the space into an electric party atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for the evening celebrations.
As the sun began to set, Natalie and Josh stepped outside to make the most of golden hour. With the most incredible pink skies stretching across the countryside and our iconic sycamore tree towering in the background, the photographs were simply magical. It was the perfect chance to pause, soak up the evening and enjoy some time together before heading back to the dancefloor.
