What To Expect During Your Viewing

by Olivia • December 21, 2022 • Wedding Planning Guides

So, you’ve got engaged?! Let us start by wishing you the biggest congratulations! I’m sure you are so excited to start your wedding planning journey and what better place to start than finding your perfect venue?

We may be biased, but we feel you’ve made a pretty good decision in deciding to come and view our beautiful venue and there really is nothing better than coming to see your potential wedding venue in person.

We know life can be super busy, so we try to keep things straightforward here at Heaton House Farm. If you haven’t already, pop in your request for our brochure to be sent to you via our website and you will then find the easy system to view our available times and dates to have a private tour with one of our team members…you can even book your preferred time yourself!

What Next…?

Now you are booked in to see us, let’s take you through the next steps! Pull up into the car park and head over to the courtyard where you will find our reception. We can’t wait to meet you so head on in to meet our team! One of our experienced team members will take you on a private tour around our Wedding Venue where we will explain all about how your day will flow, answer any of your questions and give you some top tips to help you when searching for your perfect venue.

The tour will be approximately 40 minutes; however, we schedule 1 hour to spend with you, so you feel relaxed and have ample time to ask any questions and maybe spend that little bit longer admiring your favourite area of the venue.

Feel free to bring along any friends or family with you, we understand planning a wedding is exciting and it’s nice to have an extra pair of eyes when making the important decision of where your special day will be held. We do recommend where possible, having a child-free tour to allow you to fully take in the venue with no distractions.

The venue won’t be dressed up and will be in its natural, authentic state. This way you can see clearly what is included in the venue hire and avoid being met with any hidden surprises down the line; we also think it will allow your imagination to be free-flowing with all the different ideas of how you can make the venue unique to you! We know that everyone loves a bit of inspiration, so on your viewing, you will be shown lots of photos on an iPad of previous wedding setups.

If possible, we will try and show you one of our accommodation rooms so you can see the high quality to expect when your head hits the pillow – we don’t want to give it all away so will keep your Honeymoon Suite a surprise until your special day!

Some of our viewings do take place on the morning of weddings, which does mean you aren’t able to view the Pamper Room as the wedding celebrations start in here at 9am. Where there is normally lots of laughter and fun taking place whilst getting ready, so if this is important to you, please enquire ahead to make sure you chose the right day to come along.

After Your Viewing

Now that you have had your private tour, we are sure that you will have lots to think about and discuss with each other, family, and friends. To ensure we make everything as stress-free as possible, we will send you a post-viewing email that will direct you to our information hub! In the Information Hub, you will find information such as the brochure and pricing, live availability calendar, information on our caterers Stable Yard Catering and the next steps if you have found your dream venue and Heaton House Farm is where you would love to hold your magical day!

We hope this has given you lots of information and we can’t wait to meet you and hear all your wedding ideas!
