On Wednesday 15th March 2017, we held our Spring 2017 Experience Evening!
A Little Helping Hand
We opened our doors to our wonderful couples who have chosen us to host their special day, for a night of fun, laughter and lots and lots of wedding planning!
Heaton House Farm offers a bespoke service, it is a blank canvas which allows you to create the perfect day exactly how you want it and we are here to help you every step of the way. These evenings are the perfect opportunity for us to be your guiding hand alongside numerous of the suppliers from our supplier directory who joined us for the evening where we had over 300 guests through the front door!
A Refreshing Interlude
The team provide all of the drinks throughout your day so that you don’t have to worry and we love for you to try the drinks before your day. Our wine tasting station and reception drinks stands were very popular with our couples who were busy choosing their liquid refreshments.
An Introduction To The Team
Our award winning team were scattered around the venue ensuring our guests had a lovely evening. They were welcoming guests, serving drinks, providing guests with a wine tasting experience and our Events Manager was on hand to answer any questions.
Caught on Camera
To capture this spectacular evening we were joined by Cris Lowis Photography and Marry Me Films Videography who spent the evening around the venue taking pictures and footage of all of the elements of the evening.
For guests who thought of themselves as more of a selfie king or queen then Boothtique had the ideal item for you as they had bought along their selfie mirror and photo booth so our guests could take away a souvenir from their evening with us.
Can you spot yourself on the video (at the bottom of this post) from the evening?
A Stunning Display
The venue looked fantastic this evening with two of our civil ceremony areas set up for our brides to practise their walk. The Oak Beamed Entrance Barn was themed ‘Precious Metals’ dressed charmingly by Natalie’s Florist with a dazzling display of lights from Love Lights The Way who had also provided many displays of lighting around the venue. Under The Stars was gracefully presented with ‘Pure Elegance’ by Qube Events & Productions. In Steeles Barn we had put together themed tables; Blush-ing Bride, Colour Pop, Country Charm, Gorgeous Greenery, Love In Blossom, Opulent Berry and winter wedding favourite, Whimsical Wonderland. All of the tables looked beautiful!
Some of the tables had extra items such as charger plates and a different design of glassware by Whitehouse Crockery. To add the extra artistic touch, Stylist in Stationery had provided some example menu cards, name cards and table names to show ideas for table displays. These are just a few examples of items you can add however we provide all the necessities so you don’t have to worry about hiring these in!
Like Music To Your Ears
Each experience evening we host an entertainment showcase featuring in house DJ Krissi B who had the speakers pumping! He was joined this evening by Guy Porteous who performed an elegant selection of music on the piano and The Beard Band who helped raise the roof with their variations of music!
A Tasty Treat For Everyone
Our caterers cooked up a treat this evening with Vanilla in Allseasons, Barretts Event Caterers and The Woodland Rover providing samples which seemed to be VERY popular with our couples and their guests! NOM! Also providing a treat for those with a sweet tooth was the Ice Cream Dub who were outside in our Courtyard with the sun gleaming down. Buttercup Cakes were also here to ‘sweeten up’ and help our couples choose the perfect wedding cake; whether it be a 3 tier cake, naked sponge cake or a cupcake tower. (We’re hungry just thinking about it!)
For a tasty favour for your guests as well as something pretty and elegant, Enjoy Chocolate had bought along some beautifully wrapped chocolate bars that would be sure to have your guests unwrapping their treat very carefully.
You Don’t Need A Fairy Godmother To Be A Princess On Your Day
To pick the perfect dress can be a scary task, so Gracie Bleu were on hand to help give advice and had few of the beautiful designs they have on display. No outfit is complete without accessories and Glorious Tiaras were here to find the perfect match for your dress! For that extra touch, some brides love to be pampered on the morning of their day and bring in a make-up artist to create the perfect look for them, Sarah Meredith was here providing make-up trials to show our brides styles they could choose.
Whilst the ladies are busy with all things girly, the gents are able to look at some very smart attire as Best Man Ltd had a lovely selection of suits set up for our guest’s perusal.
The Sprinkles On Top
Every wedding has those finishing touches to add memorable moments to the day. On ar
rival at the event our couples were greeted by two giant flambeaux provided by Lightech alongside a display of chandeliers in Steeles Barn over the top table.
Parked up in the courtyard to enjoy the sunset, Blue Pumpkin VW Hire is a lovely idea of a way transport you and your guests from place to place; often used for church ceremonies, or it can be used as a back drop for your photographs.
Magicians have become very popular for wedding days as it is a fantastic way to keep your guests entertained throughout the drinks reception and your wedding breakfast, David Oakley provided guests with a mind blowing performance as they arrived and left magic in the air.
So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye ..
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did and we hope to see you again soon for more wedding planning!
