The Heaton House Events team gathered for a team briefing whilst Krissi B blasted out ‘Eye of the Tiger’ from the DJ Booth, and then it was all systems go for our Summer wedding Experience Evening!
It was a dreary, wet miserable night in Cheshire but Heaton House Farm Wedding Venue was no part of the doom and gloom as we had a fun-filled evening organised with our suppliers, brides, grooms and their families and friends.
From the moment guests entered the venue through the gas flambeaux display, their ears were filled with the sound of music from the evening’s showcase artists Didsbury String Quartet, DJ Krissi B and The Live Piano Experience. Didsbury String Quartet performed pieces including the Game of Thrones theme tune (very suitable after this month’s season finale), John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ and other tracks perfect for a wedding day. Krissi B, one of our in-house DJ’s, had the room raving during his sets with a mixture of classic and modern hits from all across the genres and The Live Piano Experience pumped out hit after hit which had staff and guests grooving around the venue.
Guests took a stroll across the courtyard to The Old Stableyard to meet some of our recommended suppliers including David Oakley, close up and stage magician that will amaze and amuse your guests throughout the special day, Best Man Ltd joined us from Macclesfield to present some examples of their high quality suit hire, YSD Media and Andy Corke Photography also had stands and examples of their work set up for our couples to look at and pick ideas from whilst filming and taking pictures of the venue set up for the evening. Rodo Creative brought along their brand new photo booth backdrop for our couples to see which looked lovely against the rustic stone walls, as well as designing and making the stunning stationery that guests enjoyed browsing amongst the dining tables later on.
After a quick cup of tea in our pop-up coffee shop, couples then made their way back across to the main venue to continue their evening, however, didn’t get far inside before stopping to take a selfie in the brand new ‘selfie mirror’ and VW themed photo booth by Boothtique – (some of the staff also popped over to take a quick selfie throughout the night!)
Continuing around the venue, couples visited the bridal preparation room that had an advice area from Kinderton Hat Studio who brought along examples of fascinators and hats for all of the mothers of the brides and grooms looking for the perfect accessory to match the outfit for their daughter’s special day. After dropping off the Mother’s and Mother-In-Laws-To-Be to discuss hair accessories, the Bride’s headed next door to look at ideas for potentially one of the most important parts of their wedding day, the dress! With racks of examples of Bridal gowns, Bridesmaids dresses, shoes and other accessories from Gracie Bleu Bridal to put together the perfect combination.
As this was the summer experience evening we were hoping for bright skies and the sun to be shining down for our couples to enjoy our North lawns and landscapes, however due to the downpour of rain the bouncy castle we had planned for outside had to be cancelled but couples were still able to shelter under the Oak Pagoda and enjoy an ice cream provided by the Ice Cream Dub who serve from a VW campervan and also view one of Little Limo’s stunning VW campervans as an ideal way of travelling to the venue.
In the bar area lots of the couples and their families sat around enjoying a drink from the bar listening to the music and sat imagining themselves partying the night away on their special day.
The venue looked stunning this evening after a lot of hard work by the evening’s venue dressers. The wedding barn featured Love Lights the Way who bought along ‘S&T’ for the music showcase area and also displayed ‘Mr & Mrs’ next to the top table which has become a popular and personal feature to decorate the wedding breakfast area.
Table design themes for the evening were; Enchanted Forest, Geometrics, Destination I Do, Festival, Metallic, and Elegance which were all put together by tonight’s venue dresser Precious Things who also decorated our night sky civil ceremony area which was very popular with a lot of guests who commented on how beautiful and glamorous the room looked dressed in silver and white. Artistry in Flowers provided a sensational display of flowers and White House Crockery displayed their first class ideas for crockery and glassware which altogether created sublime designs for tables for guests to enjoy.
Two of our recommended caterers joined us for the evening giving out little tasters; Barretts Events Catering provided Brownies and Almond tarts and Vanilla in Allseasons giving out example bowl foods and a copy of their new brochure. Beside them, Buttercup Cakes had a display set up and also provided sample cake tastings which were very popular with the couples.
Lighting up the venue tonight, giving it an extra glow, was Lightech who provided gas flambeaux at the entrance, extra up lighters for the oak beamed barn flooding the rustic barn with pink lighting and a couple of examples of the glorious chandeliers over the top table in Steeles Barn.
Heaton House Events would like to thank everyone for joining us tonight, it was lovely to see everyone again for another evening of gathering ideas, dancing around the venue and tasting the delicious samples.
Massive thank you to Andy Corke Photography for sharing these photos of the evening.
