Heaton House Farm Experience Evening – October 2014

by sarah • November 3, 2014 • Experience Event

Love was in the air at Heaton House Farm at the end of 2014 when we held two exclusive Open Evenings for our clients.

With a relaxed and informal atmosphere, the events were the perfect opportunity for our couples to be inspired with creative ways of dressing our beautiful venue.  Our award-winning team were all on hand along with a selection of handpicked suppliers (more about them in a minute) to support our couples and spend time chatting with them and their friends and family.

The romantic evenings enabled us to showcase our fabulous outside lighting. There was a combination of colourful up-lighting, sparkly fairy lights and, for some added drama, two flaming flambeaux provided by LightechHeaton House Farm looks as beautiful in the evenings as it does in the day time.

Our friendly team welcomed guests into our rustic, oak beamed Entrance Barn and directed them to the Sweet Cart, which was filled with lots of tasty treats! The brilliant Didsbury String Quartet played a medley of classic wedding music and adapted modern songs and FlashBak Photobooth had everyone laughing with their fun props!  An example civil ceremony was set up overlooking the North Lawn, which was lit up by the warm glow of dramatic festoon lighting.

There was also an opportunity to ‘glam-up’ as mini hair and make-up trials took place throughout the evenings in the preparation room, Cloud View, by the wonderful Dollface Make-up.

Two of our approved caterersVanilla in Allseasons and Barretts Events Caterers, offered delicious tasters from their menus and they certainly went down well! Wincle Beer brought a selection of their personalised presentation packs and details of their new stag experiences. YSD Media were also on hand offering advice on how best to capture your wedding day on film…

Our in-house DJ was rocking under the night sky with music, disco lights, lasers and bubbles! The white dance floor caught a few eyes with fabulous life sized ‘LOVE’ letters, supplied by Typical Type. A mock civil ceremony was set up underneath the pleated and night sky areas, stunningly dressed by  Venue Perfection, with different styles and trends, to show the versatility of the venue.

Steele’s Barn was abuzz with excitement, as the vividness of the coloured lighting and musical delights from The Live Piano Experience filled the room.

For further inspiration a variety of table shapes, sizes, linen and optional items for hire were all beautifully displayed. They complemented the striking centrepieces again provided by the very talented Natalie’s Florist.

For Goodness Cakes suspended an amazing chandelier cake and gave away scrumptious cupcakes to take home! Two popular tables were our wine stations. Couples were invited to sample and score the current wines available to their guests. We had some giddy Brides, Grooms, Mums and even Dads by the end of the night!

It was a fun filled evening, with lots of couples saying that they didn’t want to leave and neither did we! We want to say a big ‘Thank you’ to our couples and suppliers that ventured out and made for a fantastic evening. Remember that if you need any advice, we are here 7 days a week to help you!
