Our annual Christmas parties at Heaton House Farm are becoming somewhat of a legend in these parts. And 2018 was no exception.
Each year we choose a wonderful theme to bring our barns to life. This year we focused on two – FIRE & ICE.
Our guests knew it was going to be a night to remember as soon as they arrived, when they were greeted by the Fire King, performing outside in the Courtyard. Pyramid patio heaters flanked the entrance doors – provided by Lightech– welcoming guests into our Fire Barn!
Dressed by Butterfly Events, the room looked absolutely stunning – beams clad in red silk, red decorations adorned throughout, and incredible red lighting illuminating the barn. We even had two smoke machines adding to the effect.
Grabbing a welcome drink of prosecco, beer or Wincle ale, our guests then entered our Ice Barn – kitted out in cool blue lighting and decorated throughout in white. We even had fake snow dusted on our real Christmas trees.
Eventech had provided six LED light up cubes for the bar area, to provide added ambience! And for entertainment, our Ice Queen stilt walker was wandering between guests.
When it was time for the sumptuous three course meal – provided by Barretts on Friday and Vanilla in Allseasons on Saturday, our guests were ushered through into our Steeles Barn.
Here it really was a tale of Fire and Ice, with the room split in two. FIRE lettering on one side of the stage, ICE on the other, provided by Love Lights The Way. Eventech also supplied fire and ice gobo lights, a dry ice machine and a silk LED flame machine.
At the centre of each table was a stunning decoration, provided by our wonderful florists and room dressers. Half were dressed in reds, oranges and yellows, whilst the other half were in blues and whites. We want to say a massive thank you to them for their amazing contributions:
So exquisite and vibrant, they really made the Steeles Barn come to life. A big thank you to I Do Designs for table numbers, place cards and the seating plan, all themed to either fire or ice.
During the meal, we were treated to a wonderful Fire Show, courtesy of Stage Invaders.
And then with our tummies full of delicious food, we were ready to hit the dance floor.
Jukebox Giants– an incredible 10-piece band – kicked off the entertainment, with DJ Krissi Bhelping out on the decks.
An inflatable ice cube photo booth from Eventech was a huge hit in between dance numbers, with plenty of selfies taken with lots of great props. When we weren’t taking selfies, we were probably getting our faces painted in either a fire or ice style, courtesy of The Sparkle Stylist. With glitter and gems, both looked amazing.
Finally, just to make sure none of us forgot what an amazing night this Christmas party was, Steve Bridgwood was on hand to capture everything with his superb photography.
Afterwards, we had this great feedback from one of our guests:
“Fantastic venue for a Christmas party.. live 10 piece band ..live fire dancing act.. really good photo booth… face glitter artists… awesome fire & ice themed decorations… altogether an amazing night..Thank you !”
