THE MORNING BEFORE ‘I DO’
The Bank Holiday weekend weather certainly lived up to expectations. Summer arrived in all its glory, bringing sunshine and warm temperatures – it almost felt like fate and the perfect start to Ellie and Will’s wedding day.
At 9am, Ellie and her bridesmaids arrived, a mixture of nerves and excitement filling the air. With the talented team at Luxe Bridal Artists taking care of hair and makeup, they were in safe hands from the very beginning. Making the most of the beautiful weather, the girls relaxed on the pamper room terrace, surrounded by gorgeous florals and bride balloons while popping the fizz and sharing memories. If there was ever a picture-perfect wedding morning, this was it. The bridesmaids wore pale cornflower blue dresses in different styles, a shade that perfectly mirrored the clear blue sky above.
Soon, it was time for Ellie to put on her dress. The strapless gown, adorned with delicate floral details and complemented by a stunning train and veil, was simply breathtaking. Bouquet in hand, she looked radiant and ready to walk down the aisle. Emotional reveals followed, with her proud dad left almost speechless as he saw his daughter in her beautiful dress for the first time. It was one of those moments where everyone was doing their best to hold back the tears.
Meanwhile, the groomsmen took a more laid-back approach to the morning. Dressed in blue shirts and navy suits to complement the bridesmaids, they arrived in style in a super-stretch limousine before heading to the North Lawn for photos that celebrated years of friendship and memories.
As the ceremony approached, the nerves began to kick in for Will. Waiting patiently for Ellie to appear, he looked understandably anxious, though thankfully the ceremony was taking place outdoors so he could breathe in the fresh air and take a few moments!
TYING THE KNOT IN AN OUTDOOR CEREMONY OF DREAMS
The ceremony setup was simple yet utterly stunning. Beautiful floral arrangements from Flowers by Ellie adorned the space, complemented perfectly by elegant gold chairs and a registrar’s table dressed with gorgeous blooms.
As Ellie made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm, emotions ran high. Her dad was every bit as moved as he had been during the dress reveal, making for another tear-filled moment.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Ellie and Will exchanged vows and finally tied the knot.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered in the courtyard for a joyful confetti moment before the newlyweds made their grand exit to ‘You Make My Dreams‘, setting the tone perfectly for the celebrations ahead.
Congratulations and hugs quickly followed as the drinks reception got underway. Talented singer Jack entertained our guests for the afternoon while guests relaxed in the sunshine with a drink in hand. One very special guest, the couple’s beloved dog Penny, joined them for the reception and immediately stole the hearts and attention, if only for a little while.
Between group photographs, laughter, and plenty of time spent basking in the glorious weather, the atmosphere was simply incredible.
After the couple had greeted all the guests, Matt Pate Photography whisked Ellie and Will away to the water gardens for some beautiful portraits. It gave the newlyweds a chance to steal a quiet moment together and soak it all in after finally tying the knot.
Surrounded by the peaceful setting, they shared a few precious moments away from the excitement of the day while Matt captured some truly stunning photographs of the two of them.
TIME TO DINE
As the curtains opened, Ellie and Will were blown away by the stunning dining room. Golden chairs, creamy orange florals, candlelit table runners and a unique banana-shaped top table created such a beautiful setting. Their gorgeous square arch, complete with neon signs displaying the newlyweds’ surname, made the perfect backdrop, while the breathtaking bouquets and floral centrepieces truly took centre stage – all put together by Flowers by Ellie.
Once all the guests were seated, it was straight into the speeches. The groom’s dad, best man Jamie, Will himself and the father of the bride, Gar. Plenty of stories were shared, bringing both tears and laughter to everyone in the room.
Guests then enjoyed a delicious three-course wedding breakfast by Stableyard Catering. The fun continued with a first dance sweepstake located in the oak barn, with the lucky winner taking home a bottle of champagne!
Ellie and Will then cut their gorgeous cake, lovingly made by one of Ellie’s bridesmaids. The beautiful three-tiered design featured floral tones to perfectly match the bouquets, all framed by an elegant gold arch surrounding the cake.
EVENING PARTY
By 7pm, the evening celebrations were in full swing. Ellie and Will shared their wonderful first dance (the winner of the sweepstake finally got to enjoy their bottle of chamapagne!) before slipping away for some truly gorgeous newlywed portraits in the golden sunset. Guests were treated to incredible entertainment from the DJ and saxophonist Jonny Ross, keeping the energy high and the dancefloor packed.
At 9pm, evening food was served, giving everyone the perfect chance to refuel before heading back to the party. Judging by the photos, guests were having the time of their lives, with plenty of wild dancefloor moments and unforgettable memories being made! The Photobooth from That Prop Guy, captured even more precious memories!
As the celebrations continued late into the night, guests made the most of the glorious weather, sipping drinks outdoors, enjoying rustic garden games and taking in the stunning views as the last of the sunshine faded. It was the perfect ending to a truly magical day.
