This year, our Christmas party guests were whisked away to the dazzling aura of the Northern Lights at Heaton House Farm! And we can safely say that those three dark December nights were lit up spectacularly and captured perfectly by the wonderful Adam Lowndes!
As guests approached the venue at 7pm they were awed by our beacon filling the misty night sky with illuminations. Lights with aurora colours shone bright adding to the alluring atmosphere transporting guests into the Oak Barn all dressed up to the nines with sparkles, neon colours and all things in between. Our LED-winged ladies and Pixel Poi (from Gravity Live Productions) lit up the room not only with their illuminations but also the excitement of our party guests. As arrival drinks were sipped, our recreation of an arctic-style igloo was admired with fabulous photo opportunities to capture the memories of the night. Hanging stars, snowflakes, and Christmas trees added that extra special touch in our Northern Hemisphere!
As the curtains were opened into the dining room, guests were left stunned by the plethora of luminous lights filling the room. The light-up letters ‘AURORA’, from The Added Extra, filled across the dance floor and were a real eye-catcher.
Our Christmas trees took pride of place creating a festive wonderland alongside glitter baubles hanging from the ceiling. Each table was adorned with candles, festive décor, and neon illusion candle displays ready for guests to take their seats in the candlelight, surrounded by their family and friends. With a huge thanks to the fantastic suppliers who provided the decorations; Kole Events, Venue Perfection, Butterfly Events, Lily Rose Events, Artistry In Flowers, iCatching Events (you may have spotted a rather large polar bear), Lightech and Love Lights The Way.
Our mid-dinner entertainment wowed our guests with a dazzling routine from our LED winged ladies and Pixel Poi, following on to a sensational performance from our violinist, String Infusion, beaming with neon lights from head to toe, with a show-stopping performance. The atmosphere was so electric, that we were left speechless by the illusion!
Inspired by the northern hemisphere, the 3-course menu served by Stableyard Catering didn’t disappoint. Our ravenous party guests were blown away and have given fantastic feedback about the food!
To Begin: A choice between pine-cured salmon, dill cream cheese, cucumber, fennel, and sea herbs with pumpernickel crumb OR wild mushroom meatball, potato, and celeriac rosti, leek velouté and crispy leek.
For Main: Maple cured bacon loin, Hasselback potatoes, mornay sauce, cracking crumb, charred leek or buckwheat and beetroot cake, sauce bois boudran, semi-dried tomatoes and charred vegetables.
To Finish: To round off the magnificent menu, a showstopping dessert duo was served: Bailey’s chocolate cup with rich chocolate truffle, and a Swedish berry tart.
It was then time for our party guests to put on their best dancing shoes, and be guided by our wonderful DJ and host Tom Finkill – the boys vs girls competition was a top favourite moment for some! The talented band ‘The Rush’ provided a live set with a great mix of modern and classic tunes for bright smiles all around!
It is true time flies when you are having fun so before we knew it, carriages arrived to transport all our glowing guests back to reality after the most sensational show at the Northern Lights!
