Results Of Our Spooktacular Carving Competition

It’s that time of the year again! The nights are drawing in, it’s getting colder and we are days away from hearing Christmas songs on the radio…

But first, it’s Halloween!

And more importantly, it’s time for our annual Pumpkin Carving Competition.

Several members of our team have been busy getting creative and trying their hand at pumpkin carving!

We are now in our third year of the competition and it’s always a favourite with the team as everyone tries to think of the most creative way to decorate a pumpkin.

Over the past few years we have had some amazing entries, including the charming ‘Mr and Mrs Pumpkin’ and the ‘Day of the Dead’ pumpkin.

So, as we enter our 3rd year of the competition, our expectations have definitely got higher!

And we were not disappointed, we had 6 entries who all had their carved pumpkin ready for the deadline on Sunday 27th October before photos were uploaded to our Heaton House Farm Facebook page for a vote.

The battle for the most likes was on! And all the competitors were desperately trying to get as many members of the team to vote for their pumpkin alongside encouraging friends and family to like their picture on Facebook!

By the time Halloween arrived, it had been a closely fought competition.

But there has to be a winner…

‘Pumpkin of Pumpkins’ carved by Harriet Pugh!

A deserving winner! But a huge well done and thank you to everyone who entered their carved pumpkin creations or voted for a winner!

Yet again, the team has had a great time getting involved with the Pumpkin Carving Competition and we already can’t wait for next year!
