Finding the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day when you’re a married couple can often be challenging. Restaurants are full (and expensive), but you don’t necessarily want to stay at home and do nothing.
That’s why we came up with an exciting treat last Valentine’s Day for all the special couples who’ve got married at Heaton House Farm: A Valentine’s Pop Up Diner!
We wanted to do something different for Valentine’s Day, and had been looking for an excuse to invite all our couples back to the place they tied the knot.
So we decided to open up The Old Stableyard Restaurant in February, and host our very first exclusive Valentine’s pop up dinner.
We whisked our couples back to Heaton House Farm for a romantic evening at the same venue where they hold their very special memories. What better way to relive them than with our unique pop up dining experience!
First off, we sent an exclusive invite to all of our past Brides and Grooms to ask if they would like a special treat for Valentine’s 2017 – a celebration with us in the Old Stableyard!
Some of the couples we were inviting got married at the venue many years ago, and so they had never seen the latest barn to be developed. It was only completed in Autumn 2015.
They were very excited to be dining with us again and overjoyed at the prospect of seeing how much the venue had been transformed since their special day with us.
Not wanting to leave out those who are still looking forward to their big day with us, we also invited those couples who are celebrating their wedding here in the future. Who wouldn’t want to spend more time at the place that’s going to change their lives!
We wanted to transform The Old Stableyard into a venue Cupid himself would want to visit! So we brought in the help of Possibilities Florist and Whitehouse Crockery to create a luxurious, romantic, pop-up restaurant.
They dressed the room beautifully, and with subtle, low lighting that created that all important ambience.
We had one key rule too. NO Mobiles.
This way, we gave everyone the chance to truly relax and escape the modern world. It was the ideal way to help our couples spend some precious moments together without the pressure of home and work life.
Of course the main event was the beautiful food, and Vanilla in Allseasons certainly delivered!
They provided a stunning 3-course meal including roast monkfish, twice baked goats cheese soufflé, rib eye steak, roast chicken, melting chocolate pot and sharred pear. It was absolutely scrumptious – and all our couples were absolutely stuffed with some delightfully tasty romantic food!
John Clarke, who married here in 2013, said: “As I’d hoped it was a major success, the food, the venue and the staff was an absolute credit to both Heaton House Farm and Vanilla in Allseasons.”
We hope everyone who joined us had a wonderful time. It was so lovely to see all our amazing couples again, and share all the developments at Heaton House Farm.
We’re looking forward to Valentine’s 2018 and we hope to see you again next year!
