You’ve probably got a hundred thousand burning questions you want to ask about getting married and finding the perfect countryside wedding venue. And when you start looking around, you’ll likely have even more that spring to mind.

We are always here to answer your questions – however big or small they might be. We’ll go out of our way to make sure you have absolutely everything you need to know about a wedding with us, and we’ll even help answer any general marriage planning questions you have (and probably have a good chat about themes and ideas, giving you plenty of tips!)

  • How big is Heaton House Farm?

As big as you need it to be! We can accommodate parties of all sizes – small and intimate for 10 guests to a lavish affair for 250 guests if needed.

Heaton House Farm covers a large area of countryside overlooking the boundaries of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire. We’re a working farm, so we have an extensive amount of land.

Our wedding venue features a number of connected barns and rustic buildings, ensuring your day flows beautifully from one area to the next. And we have extensive grounds and some stunning water gardens too!

  • Can I stay at Heaton House Farm?

Of course you can! We’re really proud of the accommodation we have on-site, with our converted barn areas hosting 15 unique rooms for over 40 guests. Each has a luxurious feel and its own history, and of course, don’t forget our exclusive honeymoon suite for you and your partner.

  • How much does it cost to hire the venue?

That depends on when you’d like to get married! It varies from month to month and weekdays to weekends. The best way to find out our costs is to request a brochure and we’ll be in touch!

We have one set cost to hire the entire venue though – including all the little things you’ll need for the day – chairs, speakers, and your own personal coordinator on the day! You can then decide on your catering and décor to match your own desires.

  • Can I choose my own suppliers?

Due to the facilities at our converted barn, we work with our on-site caterers, Stable Yard Catering, who know exactly what to expect and how to deliver to exceptional standards. We know you can trust them, and we know they’ll do an excellent job for your wedding breakfast.

For other suppliers, you’ll still have plenty of choice from our supplier directory, and we can make recommendations for all other suppliers you might need – or you can bring your own!

  • Can we make special requests?

We welcome any and all special requests – no matter how big or how small. Whatever part of your day you’d like help with, just ask us, and we’ll do whatever we can to make it possible!

  • When can I come to see the venue?

If you are interested in Heaton House Farm hosting your special day, we ask that you view our venue ‘virtually’ first in the comfort of your own home with our 15-minute virtual viewing. Following on from this, if you like what you see and would like to come and see the venue in person please click the link on your enquiry email to see our viewing appointment availability, and book instantly!

  • How do we find you?

We’re right in the middle of the country, really easy to get to from wherever you’re coming from, by car, train or plane! You can find directions to the farm right here.

  • Do we get exclusive use of the venue?

Absolutely yes! From the moment you step through the front doors, you’ll have exclusive use of our wedding barns to enjoy every minute of your special day. This is about your big day and no-one else’s – however you decide to celebrate!

  • Do we have to get married at Heaton House Farm, or can we get married elsewhere?

If you’re looking for a traditional church ceremony, there are a number of options in the surrounding area. We can even provide a list of local churches to help you out! We’d be more than happy to welcome all your guests after the ceremony and ensure everything is in place for your reception – that’s not a problem at all.

  • Can I hold a civil partnership with you?

Our doors are always open to every couple. You and your partner can enjoy a civil ceremony – in whatever way you’d like – right here with us.

  • Can we get married in a barn?

If you’re looking for a rustic farm for your wedding, the chances are you’ve thought about getting married in a barn. And we are definitely the place! Take a look at our gorgeous Oak Beamed Barn.

  • Can we get married outside?

If you’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the countryside, we can help! Our beautiful Oak Pagoda is the setting for your ceremony, outside on our charming patio and out onto the lawn if you have more than 150 guests. And don’t worry – we always have plans in place to move indoors if the British weather lets us down!

  • Where can I get married?

We have a number of stunning different locations for your ceremony around the farm. Take a look at the choices you’ll have for tying the knot here.

  • Are you a licensed venue?

We are a licensed wedding venue, so you can get married right here on the farm and not have to worry about going to a registry office. We recommend you liaise with Staffordshire Moorlands Registrars (0300 111 8001) who’ll officiate your wedding.

  • What’s your disabled access like?

We’ve been working hard to make sure we can offer excellent disabled access throughout our venue. We have step-free access from the ceremony, through to the wedding breakfast and back to our accommodation, with a number of specially-designed ground floor rooms to stay overnight.

  • Can we have access to the grounds?

Of course. One of the most attractive parts of our wedding venue is the rolling green hills and stunning vistas that surround us, and we’d love for all your guests to enjoy them.

Canapés on the patio, party games on the lawn – it’s all possible with us, and you’ll have exclusive private access – no golfers and no other wedding parties.

  • Can we bring our own alcohol?

We’ve got a fully licensed bar that’s open from 12pm, so you won’t need to worry about bringing any alcohol. It’s fully stocked with everything you’ll need, and if you have any favourite drinks or special requests, just let us know and we’ll do everything we can to make sure it’s ready to serve on your big day.

  • What time does your bar open?

Our bar is open from 12 noon until 11.45pm. We don’t close during your wedding breakfast, so your guests will always have access to their favourite drinks.

  • What do we do if we have special dietary requirements?

All you’ll need to do is let the Stable Yard Catering team know ahead of time, and they’ll be more than happy to make any special accommodations for you or your guests.

  • I need more rooms! Do you have other accommodation nearby?

There are lots of different options for additional accommodation in the local area if you have a large wedding party, with hotels and B&Bs all nearby. We will send you a list of over 40 local properties once you book or you can find them here.

  • How many people can stay in each room?

The set-up of each of our rooms vary, with some able to accommodate families and others more suitable for couples. In total, we can host up to 40 guests. You can find out more on our accommodation page.

  • How many rooms do you have?

We have 15 rooms here at Heaton House Farm, with a number of different options to accommodate couples, singles and families.

  • What time do we need to check out?

After the big day, you’ll have the option to enjoy a delicious farm-sourced breakfast the morning after, welcoming back close friends and family with spaces for up to 60 guests between 9am-10am! Check-out from our rooms is at 10am.

  • What time can we arrive and check in?

Our bridal preparation suite is available for you from 9am on the day of your wedding. The other rooms are available to check in from 2pm. Many wedding parties may choose to stay with us the night before the big day as well, to give themselves more time to prepare.
