Congratulations to all the wonderful couples who tied the knot with us in 2024! This year has been extra special as we celebrated our 25th anniversary of hosting weddings. Here’s to the unforgettable memories we’ve made together and to many more in 2025! 😊 🥂
OUR INCREDIBLE EVENTS
Alongside weddings, we’ve hosted several other events, including a Charlotte Tilbury make-up masterclass, Cultivate conference, dining nights and open days. We welcomed our future couples to our Experience Event where they had an opportunity to meet some of our recommended suppliers to gain all-important inspiration whilst our dedicated team were on hand to answer any questions.
Let’s not forget our 25th-anniversary celebration, where we welcomed many of our past couples for a memorable afternoon of entertainment. This special event supported two of the original charities we have been dedicated to since the start of our journey: the British Heart Foundation and Midlands Air Ambulance. Our past couples were treated to live singers, captivating entertainment, and delicious food. A beautiful moon gate showcased many of our past couples’ polaroids, taking pride of place for everyone to see symbolising our incredible achievements in the the past quarter of a century.
Our festive calendar was busy this year; including our wreath-making workshop in aid of the local church St Lawrence, the Rushton School shopping extravaganza, a sensational dining night with live piano music from Mark Hendry and our kid’s Christmas crafts and carvery day; with some fabulous creations from our balloon modeller! And of course, our show-stopping Christmas parties that took place, this year with a traditional Christmas theme which ‘wowed’ our 900 guests! We also hosted our sister pub, The Knot Inn’s carols around the Christmas tree after the great British weather got the best of us, which was a roaring success and a heartwarming memory.
Down On The Farm
Despite the weather being sent to try us this year, with rain, storms and everything in between, our new ‘Ewe-Tel’ used for lambing has managed to raise a record number of lambs and calves in between all the sleepless nights. Our whole crop wheat, haylage and hay harvest have also yielded high-quality crops, which have been sold locally keeping our carbon footprint and food miles minimal. We have also chopped down the decaying trees and replanted eight times as many continuing our strive to look after the environment for future generations. This year, our previous investments have paid off with the improved efficiency of our yard operations, which has proved a helpful hand in the wake of the recent budget, as we continue to strive to feed the nation after a tough year and future faced by farmers.
Award-Winning Venue
We’ve had multiple award celebrations:
Our Amazing Team
Our award-winning team have celebrated lots of success this year, which we celebrated with a fun-filled car treasure hunt. Divided into teams, we explored the local area, solving riddles and checking off items from our list. Extra points were awarded for the best team photo, which was highly entertaining for everybody! We also celebrated some of the team’s milestones; 10 years working at Heaton House for Louise and both Chloe and Lindsey celebrated coordinating their 100th wedding, congratulations!
New Developments
Our stone wall surrounding our beautifully tranquil water gardens is now complete. In other developments, we now have some new handcrafted wooden benches from Jimbobs Workshop for our guests to enjoy on our patio overlooking our North Lawn, iconic Sycamore Tree and breathtaking scenery. There are lots of exciting plans in the pipeline in 2025!
Christmas On The Farm
The festive season is one of our highlights of the year. Our stunning venue looks beautiful, dressed up to the nines with festive décor and real non-drop trees including a 14-foot showstopper tree in Steeles Barn, where our guests dine for Christmas weddings! Our popular Christmas shop was a roaring success stocking some incredible products such as trees, wreaths, locally made tinsel, homemade produce and local beers.
What a way to end the year, we can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!
