PLANNING THEIR DREAM WEDDING

From their very first viewing, Kelly and James knew that Heaton House Farm was the place they wanted to tie the knot!

‘It had everything we’d been looking for in one place and absolutely stunning scenery’.

Themes? Kelly and James had their hearts set on a minimalist and romantic theme, which blended into our venue seamlessly- it was truly meant to be!

THE MORNING BEFORE I DO’S

At 9am, the pamper room was perfectly set for Kelly and her bridal party to unwind, relax and enjoy. With glasses of Bucks Fizz in hand to calm any pre-wedding nerves, they laughed together as SKJC Hairdressing styled hair and Laura Whitehurst MUA worked her makeup magic. The radiant September sun streamed through the windows, adding a beautiful glow to the morning.

Some iconic photos with the bridesmaids and flower girls made for truly memorable moments- pink dresses for the bridesmaids and navy blue for the flower girls, an amazing colour contrast that popped perfectly.

Kelly’s stunning dress from The Bridal Rooms, Uttoxeter, featured a low back, delicate lace and a figure-hugging silhouette that suited her beautifully. The suits were chosen to complement the theme, with James opting for tweed- the perfect choice for an early autumn wedding.

With everything falling into place, the morning became a time to savour those final quiet moments before the all-important ‘I do’s.’

Meanwhile, James and his groomsmen looked sharp in their suits from Dapper Dan, eagerly awaiting the ceremony and the unforgettable moment when Kelly would walk down the aisle.

SIMPLISTIC AND TIMELESS ELEGANCE

The outdoor civil ceremony took place facing the tree, which had been transformed into a dreamy vision of romance. A crisp white aisle carpet set the scene for a picture-perfect summer wedding, surrounded by elegant roses, lanterns and candles- a simple yet stunning setup accented with touches of gold.

As the doors opened, all eyes turned to Kelly as she walked down the aisle before their closest family and friends. It was simply stunning- there were many happy tears as she made her way towards James, ready to begin their forever together!

After signing the register, Kelly and James made their joyful exit to ‘You’re My Best Friend,‘ greeted by a shower of confetti- an unforgettable moment beautifully captured by Fire and Ice Photography. The sound of bagpipes from Alan Gagan filled the air, adding a unique and heartfelt touch as guests enjoyed their reception drinks, soaking up the magic of the day after witnessing the newlyweds say ‘I do.’

DINING IN STYLE

The dining room looked simply stunning. Soft pastel pink and cream roses adorned the tables, complemented by mirrored centrepieces and delicate gold accents- so elegant and beautiful. Candles flickered gently, adding a warm glow, while personal touches like iced biscuit name favours made each place setting feel extra special.

It was time for our lovely couple to cut their beautiful cake by Noms from Tom, its’ top gold tier perfectly tying together all the stunning colours of the day. As guests dined, guitarist Aaron Page entertained with wonderful acoustic hits, creating the perfect relaxed atmosphere.

Kelly and James shared a sweetheart table, taking quiet moments together as they looked around at their loved ones- a room filled with joy, laughter, and love.

Guests enjoyed a delicious smokehouse sharing platter along with desserts served by the brilliant team at Stableyard Catering. Once the plates were cleared, it was time to toast the new Mr and Mrs Thacker. Emotional and entertaining speeches from Kelly’s stepdad, from James himself and from the best man filled the room-moving between laughter and happy tears with memories that everyone will treasure for the rest of their lives.

The celebrations continued with stunning portraits in the water gardens during golden hour- a truly memorable part of the day that created timeless keepsakes for Kelly and James. The warm light set the perfect backdrop for their couple portraits, while joyful group shots captured the unforgettable memories of the day! The highly anticipated bouquet toss was also a highlight of the day!

ENTERTAINING EVENING RECEPTION

By 7 PM, the evening reception was in full swing. Kelly and James shared their first dance- a stunning, heartfelt moment that moved many to tears. From there, the celebrations only grew livelier. Sound Solutions were the perfect DJ combo who kept the dancefloor buzzing with energy, ensuring the newlyweds and their guests danced late into the night. Fells Fun booth gave more opportunities for Kelly, James and their guests to capture some more unforgettable memories!

Kelly and James had the most incredible wedding day with us and we are so delighted to have received some lovely feedback from them on the best moments of the day!

Their top tip for couples planning their wedding day is to:

‘Breathe, make to do list and work your way down it. Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming with a list that feels endless, so don’t be ashamed to ask for help, utilise family and friends for the little things. If something is out of your control don’t stress, you can only manage what’s within your control. It will all come together in the end, the coordinators will ensure it and will help in any way they can to help your visions become a reality.’
