Fabulous fusion wedding for Tom and Preeya

by Events • August 8, 2025 • Real Weddings

PLANNING THEIR DREAM WEDDING

From the moment Tom and Preeya first visited Heaton House Farm, they were captivated by the breathtaking views and immediately knew it was something special. What stood out most was how seamlessly the space could transform throughout the day – allowing each part of their celebration to have its own atmosphere, while still feeling beautifully connected.

‘Our favourite part of the venue was the water gardens- we appreciated the beauty and peace of the garden!

One of their top priorities was to create a wedding that truly represented both of their cultures- English and Indian. From the start, they envisioned a vibrant, bold celebration, with bright colours that paid homage to traditional Indian weddings.

THE MORNING BEFORE I DO’S

At 9 a.m., the pamper room was perfectly set for Preeya and her bridal party to unwind, relax, and enjoy. As they sipped on some pre-wedding fizz to calm their nerves, Kara Makeup worked her magic- flawlessly applying makeup and styling hair – while the radiant September sun beamed down.

Soon, it was time for Preeya to step into her stunning red traditional wedding outfit from Alankar House of Sarees, beautifully complemented by the soft pink bridesmaids’ outfits – a perfect contrast that captured the elegance of the day. These moments made for gorgeous shots in the pamper room, complete with detailed henna close-ups.

With everything in place, it was time to soak up the last few quiet moments before the all-important ‘I Do’s’.

Meanwhile, Tom and his groomsmen looked sharp in their traditional outfits, also from Alankar House of Sarees, eagerly awaiting the ceremony.

SIMPLISTIC AND TIMELESS ELEGANCE

Their civil ceremony took place in our beautiful Under the Pleats, where vibrant celebration met heartfelt tradition. Bursting with bold pink and orange hues, the florals perfectly complemented the wonderful energy of the day. A glowing ‘Better Together’ neon sign added a modern touch of romance, while the stunning mandap stood proudly at the heart of the room, creating a breathtaking focal point for the ceremony. Lanterns and candles softly illuminated the space, casting a warm glow as Tom and Preeya exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends under the Mandap!

‘Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony, as Preeya walked down the aisle and we became husband and wife. It was beautiful to share that with our closest family and friends‘.

After signing the register, the newlyweds made their exit to Marry You by Bruno Mars. Tom and Preeya were greeted with a shower of confetti, followed by some unforgettable group shots by Steve Bridgwood Photography. Guests then sipped on reception drinks and enjoyed canapés whilst soaking in the magic of the day after witnessing the newlyweds tie the knot. With some stunning shots captured in the water gardens, one of the most memorable parts of the event for our newlyweds’ photos and memories was truly unforgettable.

DINING IN STYLE

The dining room was a vibrant celebration of colour and personality, with tables adorned in bright, joyful florals from Tineke Floral Designs and lush foliage, creating a stunningly cheerful atmosphere. Each centrepiece from Venue Perfection featured a wild, garden-inspired arrangement bursting with rich pinks, oranges, and yellows, beautifully complemented by softly glowing pillar candles in tall gold cylinder vases. Gold chairs framed each table, adding a touch of luxe elegance, while the ‘Better Together’ neon sign from the ceremony room made a glowing reappearance, casting a romantic light over the space.

Personal touches were woven throughout the décor, from the wooden place names to the thoughtful wildflower seed favours left for guests-a nod to growth and new beginnings. The beautifully styled tables perfectly captured the couple’s vibrant and joyful personalities!

After enjoying delicious sharing dishes and dessert station served by our brilliant in-house caterers, Stableyard Catering, it was time to toast the new Mr and Mrs Patel. Emotional and entertaining speeches from Preeya’s dad and best man Dan filled the room with laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt memories.

What a showstopping cake, comprised of vibrant colours and icing figures of the Bride and Groom too!

ENTERTAINING EVENING RECEPTION

By 7 PM, the evening reception was in full swing. The couple’s first dance was a stunning and heartfelt moment that brought tears to many eyes. In true fusion style, Tom and Preeya made a stunning outfit change -stepping out in classic English wedding attire for the evening celebrations. Their second look perfectly bridged tradition and modern elegance, showcasing the blend of cultures that made their day so special.

Jukebox Band kept the energy high as the newlyweds and their guests danced the night away, while beautiful outdoor shots captured the couple beneath glowing lanterns and the last golden light of day – the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable celebration.

Tom and Preeya had the most incredible wedding day with us, and we are so delighted to have received some lovely feedback from them on the best moments of the day!

Their top tip for couples planning their wedding day is to:

Make the day your own! It’s easy to get lost in other people’s enthusiasm for your day, but remember to stay true to what you want as a couple. The biggest compliment we got was that people felt the day reflected us and was ours.
