Dreamy Spring Wedding for Megan and Asa

by Events • April 16, 2025 • Real Weddings

Planning their dream wedding

For Megan and Asa, it was love at first sight, not just with each other, but from the moment they first stepped into the venue, they instantly knew it was the perfect place to take the next step in becoming Husband and Wife.

After a friendly and professional viewing from owner Mick, our couple was so impressed with not only the beautiful grounds and ample choice of ceremony rooms, but the wonderful family-run aspect of our venue, which stole their hearts.

‘Our favourite part of the venue was the water gardens!

THE MORNING BEFORE I DO’S

At 9 am, the pamper room was perfectly set for Megan and her bridal party to unwind, relax, and enjoy. As they sipped pre-wedding fizz to calm their nerves, Chelsea Francis worked her makeup magic, and Phoebe Mottershaw styled hair beautifully, bringing their pamper room dreams to life overlooking the beautiful wintry scenery.

Soon, it was time for Megan to get into her stunning laced dress from The Bridal Quarters, complemented by the sage green bridesmaids’ dresses, matching the elegant and spring March day. These made for gorgeous shots in the pamper room mirror, expertly captured by Shannon Burrell, and with that, it was time to soak up the last few moments before the ‘I Do’s’.

Meanwhile, Asa and his groomsmen were looking sharp in their stylish suits hired from Cheshire Menswear and eagerly awaited the ceremony!

SIMPLISTIC AND TIMELESS ELEGANCE

Their ceremony took place in our beautifully decorated oak barn, where rustic charm met pure spring elegance. Gorgeous bouquets of white, cream and sage green florals perfectly complemented the simple yet rustic theme. Silver-accented ceremony chairs added a touch of classic refinement, while lanterns and candles created the perfect balance was just magical. At the heart of the room, the beautifully adorned moongate took centre stage behind the registrar’s table as Megan and Asa exchanged vows, with beaming smiles, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

‘Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony, the part of the day that we had been waiting for for a very long time. It was finally the moment we became husband and wife, and it was beautiful to share that with our closest family and friends.

After signing the register, the newlyweds made their exit with the classic and romantic ‘This Will Be an Everlasting Love’ by Natalie Cole. Megan and Asa were greeted with a shower of confetti, followed by some unforgettable group shots by Shannon Burrell Photography. Guests then sipped on reception drinks whilst soaking in the magic of the day after witnessing the newlyweds tie the knot. With some stunning shots captured in the water gardens, one of the most memorable parts of the event for our newlyweds’ photos and memories was truly unforgettable.

DINING IN STYLE
The dining room was beautifully decorated with a lush foliage garland woven with delicate white roses and gypsophila as a centrepiece for each table, accented by tall cylinder vases and softly glowing pillar candles. Silver chairs surrounded the tables, with the added touch of ambient blue-toned lighting, while the adorned moongate framed the top table, perfectly capturing the sophisticated and elegant theme.

ENTERTAINING EVENING RECEPTION

By 7 PM, the evening reception was in full swing. The couple’s first dance was a stunning and heartfelt moment that brought tears to many eyes. After enjoying sizzling bacon and sausage baps to fuel their guests, it was time for the party to begin!

Meanwhile, Black Diamond Disco kept the energy high on the dancefloor, while The Added Extra provided light-up letters taking centre stage on the dancefloor, showcasing the newly married Mr and Mrs Wilson!

Megan and Asa had the most incredible wedding day with us, and we are so delighted to have received some lovely feedback from them on the best moments of the day!

Their top tip for couples planning their wedding day is to:

A tip for future couples would be to have your wedding day however you like it. Nothing is too big or too small for HHF to achieve, and despite some natural emotions and stresses in the run-up to the day, everything will slot into place and be perfect when the day arrives.
